Because GharShar is a peer-to-peer directory, we collect the bare minimum information required to connect hosts and house-hunters:

• Account Data: When you sign up, we collect your email address, phone number, and account password. This data is securely processed and stored using our backend authentication partner, Supabase.
• Listing Data: If you post a property, we collect the details you provide, including property images, pricing, location descriptions, and contact information, to display publicly to other users.
• Cookies & Local Storage: We use browser local storage and session tokens to maintain your login state and keep you authenticated.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to operate the platform:

• To authenticate your login and secure your account.
• To display rental or ownership housing listings to potential matches.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party marketing companies.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is securely stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure via Supabase and hosted via Vercel. While we implement strict security protocols to safeguard your account data, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Links & User Liability

GharShar acts strictly as an open, neutral intermediary directory. Our platform contains user-generated listings that link you to external third parties (landlords/tenants). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, offline interactions, or safety of any external arrangements made outside our digital platform. Users are strictly advised to conduct their own due diligence before entering transactions.

5. Minors' Privacy

GharShar does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to register for our services or send any personal information to us.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can update your profile information or delete your listings at any time directly through the GharShar application interface. If you wish to permanently delete your entire account and all associated database records, please contact us at support@gharshar.com and we will process your deletion request within 48 hours.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app logic or legal compliance. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
